Eradicating Bullying & Incivility: Essential Skills for Healthcare Leaders

ONLNJ has partnered with the Healthy Workforce Institute (HWI) to provide our members and community with access to HWIs Eradicating Bullying & Incivility Self Study eCourse.

Increasing demands, decreasing resources, burnout, bullying, and incivility are challenging nursing leaders now more than ever before. When disruptive behaviors go unchecked, workplace culture suffers and in time, good employees disengage or leave. These behaviors also have a negative impact on patient safety and satisfaction and on the organization as a whole as the costs of turnover are immense. In order to feel comfortable and prepared to address incidents of workplace bullying or incivility, nurse leaders need training in the skills and strategies that are most effective. The Eradicating Bullying & Incivility Self-Study Program meets this need.

Each module is less than thirty minutes long and can betaken online at the learner's desired pace. By the end of the course, you will have the tools, strategies, and confidence to identify disruptive behaviors that undermine a culture of safety, set behavioral expectations with employees and hold staff accountable for professional behavior.

Course Highlights:

  • This program is an online self-study program containing five comprehensive modules that can be completed at the learner's self-directed pace. Nurse leaders can enroll and begin the program at any point in time.
